A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
Epilepsy Warning: The screen flashes pretty bad when you die (will work to tone that down if I get the chance).
- A and D to move left and right
- Hold against walls to wall-run
- Hold Space to charge up jumps, release to jump
- The longer you hold the higher you jump but the more energy you burn doing so
The idea was to have a meter of energy that fills up the longer you run (as well as through energy orbs I didn't have time to add, but oh well) that you can use to charge actions like jumping, wall running and sliding. The trick is to charge the jumps just right that you balance your speed and height.
Future Plans (Maybe?):
Besides fixing up the numerous control issues (I had problems with the whole system being a bit 'floaty'), I would like to add a procedural system to the level generation as well as the above-mentioned orbs and other movement types. Was also thinking of adding enemies that drained energy, and using the orbs to either gain energy or as weapons against them.
